Welsh Master Photographer of the Year 2011

High Society’s photographer Lucy Littlewood sweeps the board at the annual Welsh Master Photographers Associations Awards in South Wales last night.

Lucy won:

Classical Portrait of the Year with a delightful image of Cerith and Rhian Lloyd’s eight month old daughter Erin. This image was taken on Erin’s second visit to the studio as part of the National MPA Cherub promotion, where parents bring alone their babies for three sittings within their first fifteen months, and a watch me grow complementary triple folio is presented to the proud parents after their third visit.

Classical Portrait winner

Contemporary Portrait of the Year with young lady Patience pictured as a fairy in a wooded backdrop, the actual portrait being photographed in the Studio against a green screen and the wooden backdrop, Moose and wings added digitally later.

Contemporary-Portrait-of-the-Year

Baby Portrait of the Year a beautiful image of 10 day old Skye, daughter of Tegan Rance from Llangennech again taken on a Cherub portrait sitting, but this being the first of the three sittings, as a past Cherub client we were delighted when Tegan asked to photograph Skye at this adorable age.

Overall Print of the Year the gorgeous monochrome image of Erin looking lost on that huge chair.

Lucy also won 2 merit awards in the Classical Wedding a 2nd in both the Children Portrait and the Pictorial, Illustrative and Fine Art.

And keeping the best award until last, overall winner and

Welsh Master Photographer of the Year 2011

As we were nearing the end of Ifan Jac’s 1st Cherub portrait sitting we thought we’d take just one more ‘just in case’ and here it is,

A few of our Cherub baby photos taken over the last few months in our Pontarddulais Studio. Don’t forget if you book a cherub appointment at our studio it’s free, three sittings, the triple folio with three photos and free entry into the £10.000 national Cherub of the year competition. What can you loose, just give us a try. Telephone Lucy or Collin on 01792 883274 for more details or to book an appointment.

Another winner for High Society

We’ve done it again, another national winner for High Society Photography Ltd. In the second quarter judging of the Master Photographer Association’s ‘Cherub of the Year’ competition, Customer Adella Hay from Ammanford won with this delightful image of son Louis wrapped in a towel. Adella receives a £25 shopping voucher, but most importantly now goes forward to the final judging when a £10.000 cheque will be presented to the parents of the ‘Cherub of the Year’ in the Spring of next year.

High Society now has four winning images going through to the final judging, we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed that one of our customers is the winner of the £10.000, and don’t forget there’s still time and not to late to have your baby photographed and entered in the competition, there will be another 2 quarterly competitions judged before the finals

Cherub of the Year is open to members of the public who have their babies photographed by a local MPA Cherubs photographer.

Laura’s bump to baby photoshoot.

What a lovely way for Laura and hubby to capture and record this precious and exciting time in her life,  Just love the way our Lucy handled the lighting on the dark images, just a few of our favourites from the dozens of images taken at the studio sitting, and the five images Laura choose set out ready for framing and last but not least little Casey after she made her grand entrance on September 8th just 5 days old.

Little Casey at 5 days old.

A few of my favourite images from Lilly’s first cherub sitting in our Pontarddulais studio.

It’s always great when something different develops at a cherub sitting, it was lilly’s second cherub sitting at our studio and being from a musical family what better way to put Lilly and her sister at ease than to photograph both with their musical instruments.

Lexie Owen’s first cherub sitting at our Swansea studio with a selection of her images.

A selection of images from Harri’s 2nd Cherub sitting.

My favourite images from Fraya and families 3rd Cherub sitting
